Camp Broadway Indonesia (CBI), managed by PT Asa Pentas Mahakarya and PT Indolima Perkasa, is the only official institution in Indonesia with a license from Camp Broadway New York (NY). The camp provides a platform for individuals of all ages to enhance their singing, dancing, and acting abilities through training and practice.

1. A selection of five CBI students will perform at the New York Pops Orchestra’s 40th Gala Anniversary

During the press conference on April 15th, 2023, Adit Marciano, the Artistic Director of CBI, revealed that only three slots were initially available for the New York performance. However, the committee added two more slots for Indonesian representatives following the selection process.
Interestingly, the five students selected to perform on May 1, 2023, are all women. They even have a number of achievements that have made Indonesia very proud.
“These five selected students will later join the Camp Broadway Ensemble to perform at the New York Pops Orchestra’s 40th Anniversary Gala at Carnegie Hall, New York City,” he explained.
Now, here is a full explanation of the selected students and their achievements. Among them are:
- Jane Callista: Vocalist World Grand Prix winner, participant of Indonesian Idol Junior and The Voice Kids Indonesia.
- Rania Salsabila Azzahra: Favorite Cover Girl 2020 and founder of the See for Care community.
- Asira Shifa Widiarto: Honorary Peace Ambassador of BNPT (National Counter Terrorism Agency) Republic of Indonesia and 3rd Runner Up of BOBNAS SEMPOA, Kuningan City.
- Hitadewi Abhassara: 1st Winner of Anak Bangsa Symphony “Gempita Nusantara” Teen Category and represented young Indonesian singers at the Indonesian Mid-Autumn Festival Cultural Exchange and Friendship in China.
- Cittadewi Abhassara: 2nd place in the Royal Academy Solo Singing Competition on behalf of Tzu Chi International School and represented young Indonesian singers at the Indonesian Mid-Autumn Festival Cultural and Friendship Exchange in China.
2. Before leaving to New York, they will take part in a workshop program with CBI Instructors and renowned as Broadway artist, Kara Lindsay

Before these selected children leave for New York at the end of April 2023, their talents will be honed first with a number of programs that have been prepared. One of them is a three-day workshop program with CBI instructors as well as Kara Lindsay, a famous Broadway artist in the United States, at Taman Ismail Marzuki.
The audition held in Jakarta was chaired by Adit Marciano as Artistic Director of CBI, Viviana Uribe as Director of Development and Strategy of CBI, Bernice Nikki as Vocal Director, and Nala Amrytha as Choreographer. They were handpicked under the direction of Susan E. Lee, Founder of Broadway Educatin Alliance (BEA) Inc., and Theo Lencicki, Director and Choreographer of Camp Broadway Ensemble New York.
3. The five selected CBI children will perform at the prestigious and legendary venue, Carnegie Hall

The five children from CBI will perform with the New York Pops Orchestra and children from the United States and Camp Broadway worldwide at the prestigious and legendary venue Carnegie Hall. The guest of honor will also be American Grammy and Emmy Award-winning singer Barry Manilow.
“Camp Broadway Indonesia is very proud to be able to bring five talented Indonesian children to perform with the famous American star, Barry Manilow. Hopefully, this moment will motivate other Indonesian children who have talent in dancing, singing, and acting,” Adit concluded.
